Arab Racism, Ignorance and Nationalistic Pride

Racism Nationalism Brotherhood and Islam

Bismillah,

We want to highlight the following comment made by brother Salah in response to the article here at 1MuslimNation about How Ataturk Destroyed Islam in Turkey. He shares with us some sad experiences he has had and witnessed with some Muslims from various countries. The following are his words;

Remember though, we cannot blame the Turkish people themselves. Yes they have been seduced and become under influence of Freemasonic Secular system. But just look at the Arab countries and the Arab people themselves.

While Turks have modernised themselves slightly, Arabs are such backward people. I also live in UK, and i live in a community with many Muslims, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Arabs consisting of Saudis, Omanis, Iraqis and Libyans.

I believe it is the very basic way Arabs lead their lives, and the way they have become which is why i believe Allah is not really helping the muslim world.

Along with Ataturk and the young Turks, the Arabs also become nationalistic, adding fuel to the Turkish/Arab divide. But its not just nationalism, its unity among Arabs themselves. The Saudis hate the Omanis, the Omanis hate the Saudis, the Iraqis hate Saudis, Libyans hate Saudis and so on. I am a friend of many of these people and they all say…”Oh the Omani, he is not Muslim, they are dirty people.” The Iraqi says, “The Saudis..they are dirty they believe they are better then evryone.” Bla bla etc.

The arabs clearly hate each other. They have gone completely against the VERY BASICS of islam. I have a Saudi man living next door to me, and he locks his wife in the house all the time. I hear arguments through the walls all the time. Next door to them an Iraqi lives, and the Iraqi who understand Arabic tells me, the woman is fed up with her life, she can never go out only with the man.

Arabs now believe they the “SUPERIOR” Muslims compared to others. I know a man who openly says: “The prophet was arab, we are arab, it makes us better then you.”
Yet hes completely forgotten the verses of the Quran, and what The prophet himself said in his last speech!

“An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood.”

Now ask yourself, is this Islam? This type of Islam is also being used in Saudi Arabia. Women were allowed out…by themselves in teh days of the prophet. Women had freedom. Now the saudis themselves give them nothing. Is there any wonder why Saudis are under constant attack from the west about their lifestyle?

I also have an uncle living in the UAE. He says there is a big community of Palestinians there. He says all the world feels sorry for what is happening in Palestine, but when u meet the Palestinians in the UAE, and how they believe they are better then everyone, how they act and how they behave, you no longer feel sympathetic for the Palestinians.

Now everyone ask yourselves, why are Muslims in the state we are in today? I believe it is simple. As well as going astray, commiting shirk, not staying committed to the ways Islam teaches us to be like, i believe the problem lies in our very own homes.

As I’ve said before, for Allah to really help us, we must first change and help ourselves. Only then will Allah change the condition of a people, and in this topic, specifically the Arab nations. I pray to Allah always, asking him for there to come the time where we all unite under one banner to come swiftly. Inshallah it will be soon.

    • hmm… your comment is a kind of example of the kind of hatred and propaganda that goes on in the Arab world against there own. Makes you kind of sick. Looking up and spitting on your own face kind of thing really…

I agree. I’m a revert living in Saudi Arabia. I moved here about 6 months ago. I must say I was 100% shocked when I came here and also when I married my born muslim husband who happens to be from India. There is soo much prejudice towards skin color. My husbands family didn’t even want him to marry me just because I’m a little darker than him. It’s like they think they are all soo white. Some of the ppl in his family are darker than me! Yet, I’m too dark…interesting. Most of his friends also tried to discourage him from marrying me. And all for what reasons? Because I’m dark. And some of them didn’t want him to marry me cause I’m a revert too. And the lighter skinned Arabs, Afganis, Syrians, and Pakistanis that live here also have that same mentality. I wear niqaab, but ppl would often stare at my husband and I when we go out. Like they cannot imagine why he would want to marry a dark girl. I have never felt soo bad about myself before. My family is from India. They moved to the Caribbean about a 100 yrs back to work for the British, and we don’t have this kind of prejudice in the Caribbean. I have never felt bad about my skin color or my beauty until after I reverted and started mingling with these born muslims. In fact, when I was a kafir I was considered very beautiful and I used to get modelling offers. Now I’m considered as filth as a muslimah. I go in the shops here and guess what is being sold in the ladies products isles…’Fair & Lovely Multivitamin Cream’, ‘White Beauty Face Wash’, ‘Herbal Fairness Cream’, skin bleaches, etc. I now wear a full burka that covers my eyes and gloves to avoid the stares. Anyway, I’m not trying to bash muslims. These born muslim parents would rather thier son marry a ‘fair’ girl who is not religious over a dark girl who is religious. It’s sad to see that many dark ladies have a difficult time getting a husband. I love Islam and that’s why I reverted. Islam does not teach this kind of prejudice towards skin color and prejudice towards reverts. I have been hiding this from my family and old friends. The media speaks soo bad about muslims, so I don’t want to make them think worse. If they knew how ppl’s attitudes towards me, well only Allah swt knows what they would think of islam…One day inshallah maybe these born muslims will all gain wisdom and obey the prophet salallahu alayhi wa salaam.

Really sorry to hear about ur situation sister Amatullah, it’s so sad 2 see muslims wiv backward psychology subhana’allah….. “After hardship comes ease” insha”allah sister….Salam Alaykum

Oh wow I didn’t realize I wrote soo much. Sorry. Ma salaam

  6. Hi sister Amatullah,
I’m very sad to hear about the treatment you get from your family and other Muslims around you because of your skin colour and because you are a revert. It should never be like that.

A Muslim knows Islamic teaching and sincerely follows Prophet Muhammad will never act like that. The colour of your skin, race, height, family, job etc. will never be his judge.

. It must be very hard for you.

  7. Adam says:

    Dear readers,

I have read this article and I believe there are 2 main causes for dis-unity amongst the One Ummah. Before I share my views and explain the 2 main causes I would just like to remind people that, in this life people make choices which directly effect themselves and others around you. We find making decisions easy but fail to realise how these decisions will effect people around us. I guess in a nutshell I want to people to once in a while ‘stand back from their lives and reflect what they have done, are doing and are going to do’, just by reflecting we can in most cases resolve many issues.

Coming back to the 2 main causes as to why the Muslim dis-unity.

    1. Muslims have started to love this life more than what we should. Don’t get me wrong, Material is important for us to obtain however we should limit this to the point where we begin to love material life. Since Muslims have looked to the west and seen the material wealth and how everyone is ‘living the dream’. But to be honest, that is democracy for you. It provide you with all the material you require, but its attached to a system, the system which does not recognise tollerance, patients, morals and connectivity to the society. Direct oppoiste to how Islamic system works. So please think deeply as to how much we love this material world.

    2. Muslim need to pass on wealth to the next generation. This wealth is not material but knowledge, idea’s and productive way of achieving a better nation. For example, since World War I and II, Muslims have stopped researching into productive ways to better the lives of the nation as a whole. For example, making discoveries, new inventions, new methods of producing goods, food and making maximising the resources. Take for example, the Middle East. It is rich with oil and natural resources, but yet Muslims dispite having this are unable to find ways into making this assest work for the whole nation, yet a few elite familes are maximising its potential. But if you take this example and go back into history, then Muslims during this period would have used this potential to make wealth but not just for a few families but for the whole nation. This example can be expanded to all Muslim countries.

It’s important for Muslims to re-enter this habit and understanding for researching and developing and making new discoveries. This knowledge will then need to be passed on to our new generation, something which the present generation did not get from its previous generation. Not having this knowledge results to how we live today. We all want what the west has, but forget that we are Muslims and the west stole many if not all of its idea’s from the Muslim world. The effect is that we all stive to make more and more money without realising how we earn it has a direct inpact on our nations as a whole.

I hope these two points make things a little clear for everyone. I objective was not to give a lecturer but just provide a little example of how we have fallen blind to a new myth, which is that Muslim are backwards but in reality we were advanced to the point where the west owes us debt for its advance in all departments.

This article is a lie, we Arabs are not racist. Please stop lying!

    • Not all of you, Saleh. But many Arabs are, and they have this holier-than-thou attitude.

But many Arabs are plain nice. I wouldn’t want to generalise.

The Palestinians I’ve met here in Qatar are very humble. If at all you feel anything for them, it’s sympathy.

Sister, sorry to hear that but unfortunately this is the fact of muslim world at the moment. And for these jaheliyati of the muslims, we became the worse nations of the world though these ignorant dumbs claim themselves the best of all. But they forgot the teachings of Islam yet claim they are the bearer of Islam. May Allah direct us to the right path, wake us up and allow us to learn the truth. Ameen.
