Inviting People to Islam: Dawah Tips and Articles

Bismillah,
In the past two weeks I came across the following four informative blog articles about Dawah (Islamic outreach).
dawah converts to Islam

  • Tips for Da’wah – a great article in point format containing more than 25 tips for Dawah
  • Sister Fatima Barkatulla says she received a phone call from a Yorkshire lady on the day when it was in the news that 13% of British Muslims apparently believe that the July 7th bombers were martyrs. Read what happened next in her blog post – A lady so close to Islam. And make Dua that may Allah guide her to Islam
  • In this 2 part series titled, “Current Affairs and Misconceptions,” PART1 and Part 2, Fatima Barkatulla has analysed Muslims present situation in non-Muslim countries and how we can make a impact for the better or for the worst.

i am ahmed elsaidy . i am 16 years old i am egyptian living in uae yesterday my teacher was talking to me about islam saying bad words about my religioni opposed him and i worned him by saying if u talk again i will call the police

    • Asalama Aleikum my dear brother, my name is Abdiaziz ibnu Mohamed, i am a muslim and a somali by nationality and i leave in canada particularly in ontario,. my advice to you is that whatever knowledge you have about Islam , may it be little or much as long as it is not a LIE testify against your teacher till he becomes shocked and gives up the abuse. the best medicine for such an ignorant person is not the police but to judge him by his own words in short stand on your feet and embrace Islam whenever he says something useless.i hope you are now ready to defend Islam

  2. Salam Ahmed,
Act with patience and wisdom. Your teacher is probably ill informed. Its sad, but don’t be aggressive. Discuss Islam with your teacher and most importantly show what Islam really is by following it. Read prophet Muhammad and the companions life stories and learn how they handled difficult situation. All the best.

  3. Saim says:

Invite (all) to the Way of your Rabb (Cherisher and Sustainer) with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for your Rabb knows best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance.” Quran(16:125)

O my Rabb (Cherisher and Sustainer)! Bestow wisdom on me, and join me with the righteous; grant me honorable mention on the tongue of truth among the latest (generations); make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss.” (26:83-84)

      • Walaikum Salam Ali 🙂
I’m very happy to hear about your interest to do Da’wah. Have you heard the saying called “If you want to learn to swim jump into the water”? Like swiming if you want to become a good daee you have to engage in Da’wah. But now you’ll have a question how do go about engaging in da’wah.

Here is a link to a article about 87 tips and ways a da’wah organisation in the Buddhist country of Sri Lanka uses to do da’wah. Pick one of them and try to implement it yourself.

You’ll gain experience and become a good da’ee as you go. I hope you will implement atleast 1 of those 87 da’wah tips. I also hope you will come back and share your experience on this page after you do da’wah.

May Allah bless and guide you Ali

        Masalam
